The responsibilities of the Treasury Department include the preparation of the annual budget and five-year capital plan, budget administration, tax rate calculations, capital financing and debenturi​ng, management of municipal funds, coordination of the year-end audit, financial statement preparation and reporting, payroll processing, benefits administration, accounts payable and bulk purchasing, financial reporting to Council and assistance to all departments on financial matters.
