To celebrate and leverage Midland's Cultural Resources to grow a prosperous year-round economy and enhance the quality of life for all residents.

The concept of “culture” is broad. It has been defined as “the characteristics and knowledge of a particular group of people, defined by everything from language, religion, cuisine, social habits, music and arts.”
(Live Science, February 19, 2015).

The Midland Cultural Advisory Committee will work cooperatively with
and provide advice and support to the Municipality in implementing the Municipal Cultural Plan and supporting ongoing cultural development.​​

Evolution of Midland Culture

  • Planning process launched April 2013
  • Midland Cultural Plan adopted by Town Council in March 2014
  • Midland Cultural Advisory Committee established in May 2014
  • Committee rebranded in 2015 to Culture Midland
