Town Council is responsible for providing Municipal water and sewer services, roads, library services, recreation services, fire and police services, land use development control and licensing.  It is the main governing and legislative body for the Municipality. 


Midland Council is comprised of the Mayor, Deputy Mayor and seven Town Councillors, three representing Ward 1, three representing Ward 2 and one representing Ward 3.  The Mayor and Deputy Mayor are elected at large, while Councillors are elected in their respective Ward.  Members of Council also sit on a variety of committees and local boards.  The Mayor and Deputy Mayor also serve as members of the Council for the County of Simcoe.
