Committee of Adjustment & Sign Variance
The Committee is made up of five members, appointed by Council, to review and make decisions on applications including the following:
Severance of land (Provisional Consent)
Minor variances to the regulations of the Zoning By-law
Variances to the regulations of the Sign By-law
Appeals of a Property Standards Order
Appeals of Orders under the Line Fences Act
The Committee holds hearings once per month on the second Thursday of each month at 4:30 pm in the Town Council Chambers. A complete application must be submitted at least three weeks in advance of the next hearing to be considered for inclusion in the upcoming meeting agenda.
Staff from the Planning and Building Services department are technical resources for the Committee. The Committee considers a Report from Town staff on each application, together with input received in response to the Notice of Public Hearing which is distributed fourteen days in advance of the hearing.
Ontario's
