Information Technology & GIS
The Information Technology section manages the computer infrastructure and information systems throughout all Town offices, buildings, departments and services. The Town's information systems include core functions such as financial management, payroll, asset management, and property management. Staff also manages software licensing, desktop installation, security as well as data backup and recovery.
Geographic Information Systems
The GIS service is responsible for developing and maintaining spatial information services for all town departments. GIS is used for many projects such as asset management, inventories, and mapping for operations personnel.
The GIS section provides mapping support for all internal departments and services, as well as working with developers, consultants and utilities for mapping requests and engineering drawings.
