The North Simcoe Sports and Recreation Centre is owned, operated and maintained by the Town of Midland's Parks and Recreation Department.
This multi-purpose facility has been used for trade shows, receptions, sporting events, seminars, meetings, dances, concerts, etc., and is well suited to accommodate large conventions with seminar space that range from 15 people to 1,400 people. This facility is also home to two ice surfaces and this allows for flexibility and being able to accommodate all the needs of the community. Our twin pads are kept very busy throughout the year. The following events/programs that are held here are:

The North Simcoe Sports and Recreation Centre Concession Booth is now operated independently of the Town of Midland. It is open during sporting games and special events throughout the year.
Whether you are looking for a snack, hot or cold beverage or a meal, the staff at the NSSRC Concession Booth are always willing to satisfy your cravings.
Olympia Sports Shop
Olympia Sports is located in the North Simcoe Sports and Recreation Centre and is independently owned and operated by the family of the late Danny Wood. Olympia Sports has been a part of the Town of Midland's arena facilities for more than 33 years!

Olympia Sports Store carries a full line of hockey equipment, plus clothing and accessories by CCM, Warrior, Bauer, Gongshow, and Bardown. Skate sharpening, equipment repairs and replacements are also available on site by the helpful staff at Olympia Sports.
Danny Wood was an honoured member in the Sports Hall of Fame due to his experience as a Trainer for NHL Teams such as St. Louis Blues and Los Angeles Kings, in addition to a number of Minor Professional Hockey Teams. Danny has also played on numerous championship baseball teams such as the Midland Indians in the 1950's and 1960's.
