How to apply
Applications for the 2025 recruitment must be received by 4:00 p.m. by October 3, 2025. Completed applications can be emailed to Midland Fire Department, or delivered in person to the Midland Fire Department (550 Bayshore Dr.) between Monday to Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. prior to the deadline.
Your application must include:
- Completed Application Package
- Resume
- Cover Letter
- Copies of all relevant certifications/training
- Completed and signed Consent Waiver and Release Form (included in Application Package)
Information sessions
Get all your questions answered by attending the information sessions available. Attending a session is not mandatory but highly encouraged. Find additional information in the 2025 Volunteer Firefighter Orientation Guide.
- Information Session on September 3, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. - Tiny Township Station 2 (817 County Rd. 6)
- Information Session on September 14, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. - Midland Fire Department (550 Bayshore Dr.)
Medical Examination Form
Please note, the Medical Examination Report with attached Appendix A MUST be received before physical testing.
You do NOT require a signed medical form to apply. You will require the form to participate in the physical appraisal. It is recommended that you book your medical appointment in advance to ensure that you have the forms signed prior to the deadline.
