Information specifically applicable to dogs is contained within the Licensing & Control of Dogs By-law.
Restrictions
- No more than two cats over the age of 12 weeks can be kept at any one time in a dwelling unit.
- No more than two rabbits can be kept at any one time in a dwelling unit, except upon lands assessed and zoned as farmlands.
- The bylaw contains a list of animals that cannot be kept on any property, as well as a list of animals that can only be kept on lands assessed and zoned as farmlands.
Feeding of Wildlife
Intentionally feeding a wild animal or leaving food/attractants is not permitted. The by-law outlines specific exceptions to this rule.
