Fire Route By-law

A fire route is:

• a private roadway; 
• an access route for fire department vehicles to gain access to a building or a property in response to an emergency, or
• a designated public highway.

The Fire Chief Official may require a private roadway or parking lot or part thereof in the Town to be established as a Fire Route. No vehicle parking is permitted park in a Fire Route where authorized signs that prohibit parking have been erected and maintained.
