Limit of Two Dogs per Dwelling Unit
No more than two dogs shall be harboured, at any one time, in a dwelling unit. Any person who harbours more than two dogs upon establishing residency on a property may apply in writing by email to service@midland.ca. A municipal law Enforcement Officer may authorize an exemption.
Licensing

Kennels may only be licensed if they are located where kennels are permitted by the Zoning By-law.
Dog Leashing Requirements
- Dogs must be leashed and held by someone who can control them using a leash no longer than 1.5 metres when in public
- Off-leash dogs are considered “at large” and may be seized or impounded if not properly contained or restrained.
