As outlined in the Licensing and Control of Dogs By-law, an annual kennel licence is required to keep more than two dogs over 12 weeks of age at one location. A kennel operator with a kennel licence is not required to apply for individual dog licences for dogs harboured at the kennel. Kennels may only be licensed if they are located where kennels are permitted by the Zoning By-law.
