Community Conversations invite residents, businesses, and youth to explore Midland's future

The Town of Midland is inviting community members to help shape the future of our community by participating in a Community Conversations event this October as part of Community Vision: Midland 2050.

Since launching in the summer, the Community Vision project has gathered feedback through a variety of engagement activities to help identify the values, aspirations, and priorities that will guide a shared vision for Midland's future. To provide additional opportunities for participation, the Community Vision: Midland 2050 survey was extended and will remain open until September 28, 2026.

As the project moves into its next phase, Community Conversations will bring residents, businesses, and youth together to explore different possibilities for Midland's future and help identify the values and priorities that will guide the community over the next 25 years.

Business Roundtables

Business Roundtable sessions invite business owners, employers, and entrepreneurs to discuss opportunities, challenges, and priorities for Midland's economic future. Visit the event listings to learn more and register:

• Virtual: October 5, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
• In-person at the Bourgeois Community Centre: October 13, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Scenario Workshops

These interactive workshops explore four different possible futures for Midland and help identify the values and priorities that should guide the community, regardless of what the future may bring. Visit the event listings to learn more and register:

• Youth workshop (virtual): October 7, 5:30 to 8 p.m.
• All-ages workshop at the Bourgeois Community Centre: October 14, 5:30 to 8 p.m.
• All-ages workshop at the Midland Public Library: October 15, 5 to 7:30 p.m.
