Join a park cleanup on the Provincial Day of Action on Litter

Tuesday, May 12, is the 2026 Provincial Day of Action on Litter. Let’s work together for a cleaner, greener community!

Come out to one of the parks below on Tuesday, May 12, from 1pm–3pm to participate in a community litter cleanup event. 

• Little Lake Park, 606 Little Lake Park Road (meet at the West parking lot near the volleyball courts)
• Midland Bay Landing Park, 225 Bayshore Drive (meet in the main parking lot)
• Pete Pettersen Park, 159 Marina Park Avenue (meet at the pavilion)

Town Operations staff will be on each site (at the meeting locations noted above) to provide garbage bags, latex gloves and litter pickers. Please check in with staff for full guidelines prior to participating in the cleanup.
