Mid-Pen Transit Penetanguishene route detour due to Poyntz Street closure: August 17–28, 2026

The Penetanguishene Mid-Pen Transit Route requires a detour starting on Monday, August 17, 2026 as a result of road resurfacing on Poyntz Street between Main and Owen Streets. The detour is expected to remain in place through Friday, August 28, 2026.

During the detour:

  • The Penetanguishene bus will head into the Village Square Mall as usual and proceed to the regular stop.
  • The detour route will then take buses back out to Main Street where they will go north until Robert Street.
  • After turning onto Robert Street, the bus will travel towards Owen Street and turn left on it.
  • Buses will then head southbound on Owen Street before turning at Poyntz Street and rejoining the regular route.
