Midland proclaims National Disability Employment Awareness Month 2026
Mayor Bill Gordon has proclaimed October 2026 to be “National Disability Employment Awareness Month” in the Town of Midland:
Whereas, the Town of Midland is committed to building a community where every resident has equitable access to employment opportunities, and recognizes that disability inclusive workplaces strengthen our local economy and community life; and
Whereas, advancing disability inclusion in employment is about more than legislative compliance; it is vital to business growth, innovation, and competitive advantage, and is essential to creating lasting change in the employment landscape; and
Whereas, the Town of Midland is committed to removing barriers so that people who have a disability have equitable opportunities to access, contribute to, advance in, and succeed in meaningful work, and so that our workforce and leadership reflect the diversity of the community we serve.
Therefore, I, Bill Gordon, Mayor of the Town of Midland, do hereby proclaim that October 2026 to be “National Disability Employment Awareness Month” in the Town of Midland.
