Midland proclaims Transit Operator and Worker Appreciation Day
Mayor Bill Gordon has proclaimed March 18, 2026, as “Transit Operator and Worker Appreciation Day” in the Town of Midland:
Whereas; Transit Operator and Worker Appreciation Day is an annual event to celebrate the incredible service that public transit vehicle operators and workers provide in communities; and
Whereas; Transit Operators and workers play a vital role in ensuring passengers arrive safely to their destinations; and
Whereas; Many Midland residents rely on Midland Transit’s regular and specialized services daily to get to work, school, events, or appointments; and
Whereas; When getting on or off Midland Transit on March 18, say a little extra “thank you” to your transit operator to help celebrate Transit Operator and Worker Appreciation Day.
Therefore, I, Bill Gordon, Mayor of the Town of Midland, do hereby proclaim March 18, 2026, to be “Transit Operator and Worker Appreciation Day.”
