Partial closures of Yonge Street & Manly Street on September 10 | Transit service impacts
The following sections of Yonge Street and Manly Street are scheduled to be closed on Thursday, September 10, from 9am to 5pm:
- Yonge Street, Manly Street to Russell Street
- Manly Street, Horrell Avenue to Yonge Street
The closures are required due to water infrastructure repairs. Road closure signage will be in place. Traffic should use adjacent roads to bypass the closed sections. Access to properties will be maintained.
Transit Service Impacts
The Mid-Pen Transit Midland Route requires a detour due to the road closures on Yonge Street at Manly Street. The detour is expected to remain in place from 9am until 5pm. As outlined in the transit detour map, during the detour:
- Midland buses returning from the South Midland portion of the route will turn right onto Yonge Street from King Street as usual and proceed east.
- Buses will then turn left onto Queen Street instead of Manly Street due to the road closure.
- After heading north on Queen Street, buses will turn right at Elizabeth Street.
- The detour route will then see buses travel east before rejoining the regular route by turning left onto Manly Street.
