Town completes acquisition of 830 Yonge Street

The Town of Midland acquired the property municipally known as 830 Yonge Street on September 30, 2026. The property was acquired because of its strategic location and potential value in supporting future municipal infrastructure and service delivery needs.

The property may be used for emergency services training exercises this fall. If training activities occur, the Town will provide advance notice through midland.ca/news, and signage will be posted on site.

Construction of a new fire hall has been identified within the Town's long-term capital planning, and the property is under consideration as part of planning discussions. Additional information, including potential future uses of the property, is expected to be presented to Council as part of the 2027 budget process in December 2026. Budget information will be posted at midland.ca/budget.

At this time, no decisions have been made regarding the ultimate use or development of the site.
