Fees & Charges

While many services are subsidized through property taxes, user fees help ease pressure on the tax rate and support long-term financial sustainability. Each year, the Town reviews all user fees as part of the budget process, considering market conditions, participation levels, and other factors.

Updated fees are then set through the annual Fees and Charges By-law, which outlines departmental fees for services, programs, and activities. Separate by-laws are also approved for water and wastewater rates and for building and administrative fees.
