If you have a complaint about fireworks in Midland during business hours, please report to the town at service@midland.ca or 705-526-4275 x2255; staff will review it the following business day. After hours (evenings and weekends) please report to the OPP non-emergency number: 1-888-310-1122.
Discharging Consumer Fireworks
A Consumer Fireworks Permit is required to discharge consumer fireworks. No person shall discharge consumer fireworks except during the hours of 6pm and 11pm on the following days:
- Victoria Day and Canada Day
- Each of the seven days immediately preceding Victoria Day or Canada Day.
- Each of the three days immediately following Victoria Day or Canada Day.
- Any celebratory holidays with prior written approval from the Fire Chief or designate.
Selling Consumer Fireworks
A Consumer Fireworks Sales Permit is required to sell consumer fireworks in Midland.
Display Fireworks, Pyrotechnic or Special Effects
A Display Fireworks, Pyrotechnic or Special Effects Permit is required to hold a display of pyrotechnic special effects in Midland.
