As per the Water Conservation By-law, you can apply for exemption from the Outdoor Water Use Advisory or a Partial Outdoor Water Use Ban for the purposes of new sod or lawn seed watering. The authorization permits watering of new sod or seed every day for up to one month following planting, restricted to watering between 5am–10am and 7pm–9pm. Upon authorization, applicants will be provided with an authorization placard to display.
There is no fee to apply. Any water consumption, regardless of watering authorization, is billable.
How to Apply
You will require your Water Billing Customer # to complete the application. This can be found on your water and sewer bill.
