Water & Wastewater Billing

Properties are billed for water services on a monthly or quarterly basis, depending on the account type. Payment due dates are listed on your bill, which you can receive by mail or through e-billing.

To avoid late fees, please ensure that payment is received by the due date. A late payment charge of 1.25% per month will be applied to any outstanding balance.

Go paperless and receive your water bill by email!

Bill Payment Options

You can sign up for Pre-Authorized Payment Plan to have your water bill automatically withdrawn from your designated bank account. There are no service charges or fees to enroll.

You can pay your water bill at most major banks in the branch or online. Refer to your water bill or water payment stub for your account number to make your payment. Contact your bank for more details.

Payments made via bank may take multiple business days. Please allow enough time for payments to be received prior to the due date.

Landlord/Tenant Billing

If you own a property that you are renting and would like the water bill redirected to your tenant, you must complete the Landlord and Tenant Billing Application. Tenants will receive the original bill for payment, and landlords will receive a copy in the mail. If your billed tenant is vacating the property, you must notify the Town before the move-out date by completing a Final Water Read Request.

Moving & Change of Address

If you have sold your property in Midland, you must notify the Town before your move-out date. Submit a Final Water Meter Read Request to ensure your account is closed accurately.

Water Meters

All homes and businesses connected to the municipal water system must have a Town-issued water meter to measure water consumption.

Water & Wastewater Rates

You are charged based on the amount of water used, in addition to a base monthly charge. The volume water rate structure increases the cost of water as water consumption increases, giving everyone a financial incentive to reduce their water consumption.
