Provide your input!
The Cultural Plan survey is designed to see how you and your community connect with the arts and culture in Midland, and what you would like to see develop in the future. Your input is crucial as we work to enhance our community’s cultural future and represent your ideas and desires for Midland’s future! The survey is open until August 31.
The Town of Midland is reviewing and updating its Municipal Cultural Plan, which was originally adopted in 2014. The updated plan will continue to provide a strategy and recommended actions to leverage local cultural resources and assets to grow the economy while building and sustaining a sense of community cohesion and pride. The Town recognizes that municipal cultural planning is an essential planning and economic development tool.
To facilitate this process, the Town has hired STEPS Public Art. STEPS is a Canadian charity and social enterprise fostering vibrant communities. Their team consists of artists, urban planners, and cultural planner who work to build inclusive communities through art and creative placemaking.
