The Town of Midland is reviewing and updating its Municipal Cultural Plan, which was originally adopted in 2014. The updated plan will continue to provide a strategy and recommended actions to leverage local cultural resources and assets to grow the economy while building and sustaining a sense of community cohesion and pride. The Town recognizes that municipal cultural planning is an essential planning and economic development tool.

To facilitate this process, the Town has hired STEPS Public Art. STEPS is a Canadian charity and social enterprise fostering vibrant communities. Their team consists of artists, urban planners, and cultural planner who work to build inclusive communities through art and creative placemaking.
