Community invited to share input on Midland tourism through new survey
The Town of Midland is inviting residents to share their input through a new survey that will help guide the future of tourism in the community.
Developed in partnership with Georgian College, the survey builds on Midland’s recently completed Tourism Strategy, an action-oriented plan designed to guide how Midland grows, manages, and promotes tourism over the next five years.
Community input was central to the development of the Tourism Strategy, and this new survey represents the next step in ensuring Midland’s approach to tourism remains collaborative and responsive. Feedback will help refine priorities identified in the Tourism Strategy and support future decision-making around promotion, visitor experiences, and community investment.
“This is an opportunity for our community to have a direct voice in shaping Midland’s tourism future,” said Karen Mealing, Manager of Culture and Tourism. “Tourism touches many aspects of our community, from local businesses to events and amenities. We want to ensure our approach reflects the people who know Midland best.”
Residents' feedback will help:
- strengthen Midland’s appeal as a destination.
- enhance experiences for residents and visitors alike.
- support a sustainable and balanced approach to tourism growth.
The survey is open until July 26, 2026, and takes only a few minutes to complete. Visit midland.ca/engage to access the survey, and midland.ca/TourismStrategy for more information on Midland’s Tourism Strategy.
