Golf for good: Midland Mayor’s Charity Golf Tournament returns May 29

Golf season is just around the corner, and the Town of Midland Mayor’s Charity Golf Tournament is returning for its third year on Friday, May 29.

Held at Brooklea Golf and Country Club, all proceeds raised from the charity tournament are directed to the Town of Midland's Community Grant Program, which provides financial assistance to not-for-profit organizations and individuals delivering a range of programs and services throughout the community. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, players, and the community, the tournament successfully raised $48,000 in 2025.

“Each year, this event showcases our community’s commitment to supporting Midland’s Community Grant Program and the initiatives that create real and lasting impact in our region,” said Mayor Bill Gordon. “The ongoing support from sponsors, donors, and participants ensures that vital local organizations can continue delivering programming our residents rely on.”

Golfers of all skill levels are invited to register for the 2026 tournament. Early bird registration is $155 per player ($170 after May 8). A $50 tax receipt will be provided for each player. Golfers will enjoy an 18-hole round with a cart, lunch, snacks, a silent auction, on-course competitions and activations, and prizes. Participants are invited to arrive early to enjoy coffee, pastries, and activities before the shotgun start at 11 a.m.

Not a golfer but still want to show your support? The Town is currently seeking event sponsors and accepting both monetary contributions and silent auction donations.

More information about the tournament, including how to register, sponsor, or donate, can be found on the Town’s website at midland.ca/golf.
