Midland debuts Georgian Bay Waterfront Festival on August 8 and 9

The Town of Midland is launching a new festival that brings together the community's waterfront, public art, and maritime heritage in one free, family-friendly weekend celebration.

The inaugural Georgian Bay Waterfront Festival will take place Saturday, August 8 and Sunday, August 9 at Midland Harbour and Harbourside Park, showcasing many of the experiences that make Midland a unique destination on Georgian Bay.

"The Georgian Bay Waterfront Festival celebrates the best of Midland," said Mayor Bill Gordon. "From our waterfront and murals to our maritime heritage and vibrant arts community, this new event highlights the experiences that make our community special while creating opportunities for residents and visitors to connect, explore, and support local businesses."

Festival highlights include maritime exhibits featuring working tugboats and historic vessels, community mural projects, local artisans and makers, live music, family-friendly activities, and food and beverage offerings along Midland's waterfront.

By bringing together arts, culture, heritage, and waterfront experiences, the festival reflects Midland's commitment to celebrating the community's unique identity while creating memorable experiences for residents and visitors alike.

The Georgian Bay Waterfront Festival is presented by the Town of Midland and made possible through the support of Tourism Simcoe County, Boathouse Eatery, and Desjardins Ontario Credit Union.
