Midland residents and businesses encouraged to help guide Economic Development Strategy

The Town of Midland is inviting residents, business owners, community organizations, and local partners to participate in a survey that will help shape the Town's new Economic Development Strategy, which will serve as a five-year roadmap for economic growth and prosperity.

Midland has not had a comprehensive standalone Economic Development Strategy since 1991. Developing a new strategy will ensure the Town takes a proactive, community-driven approach to economic development and is well positioned to capitalize on future opportunities. The strategy is being developed in partnership with McSweeney and Associates, an Ontario-based consulting firm.

The Economic Development Strategy survey asks participants to share their experiences and expectations of Midland, as well as their perspectives on the community's strengths, challenges, and opportunities for the future. Survey responses will help inform priorities and actions that support Midland's long-term economic prosperity.

"Community input is essential to developing a strategy that reflects Midland's needs and opportunities," said Steve Farquharson, Executive Director of Community and Growth. "The feedback we receive will help guide economic growth, investment, and job creation over the next five years."
