Residents invited to Public Information Centre on new splash pad design

The Town of Midland is inviting residents to attend a Public Information Centre (PIC) to learn about the design of Midland’s first public splash pad and provide feedback on this exciting new community amenity in Little Lake Park.

Midland’s splash pad will be a fully interactive and accessible aquatic play area that will connect to existing park pathways and trails along Little Lake. The project aims to provide a safe, inclusive, and engaging recreational space for all ages and abilities. Construction is expected to begin in May 2026, with completion anticipated by August 2026.

The PIC will take place on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Bourgeois Community Centre (Bill Thompson Room). Town staff and the project contractor will be on hand to share details about the proposed splash pad design and to answer questions from the public.

The splash pad project follows the completion of a comprehensive Splash Pad Feasibility Study in early 2025, which confirmed community need, evaluated potential locations, and guided the design, budget, and implementation approach.

Residents who are unable to attend the PIC in person will have the opportunity to review design details and provide feedback online following the event.
