2022 Municipal Elections
The Town of Midland conducts Municipal Elections for the election of Municipal Council members and School Board Trustees every four years. Midland's 2022 Municipal Election took place on October 24, 2022.

Candidate Financial Statements
Nominations for the 2022 Municipal Elections closed at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 19, 2022.
Registrations of Third Party Advertisers (TPAs) closed at 4:30 pm on Friday, October 21, 2022. (No Third Parties Registered during the 2022 Election)
All candidates were required to file financial statements on the prescribed form and submit them to the Clerk (or designate) no later than 2:00 pm on Friday, March 31, 2023, unless an extension of time had been granted by the Superior Court of Justice.
An individual could submit an application to have a financial statement reviewed or audited, as outlined under Compliance Audits below.

Compliance Audits
The County of Simcoe formed a Joint Election Compliance Audit committee (CAC) with local municipalities as required under the Municipal Elections Act. The Committee was responsible for reviewing compliance audit applications submitted by an elector who believes on reasonable grounds that a candidate or third-party advertiser has contravened the provisions of the Municipal Elections Act relating to campaign or advertising finances. To request a compliance audit, the applicant must have been an eligible elector and, had reasonable grounds to contest a candidate's or TPA's campaign finances, and submitted the Application for a Compliance Audit by the deadline (Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 4:30pm)
