Significant Weather Event in Effect

Due to Environment Canada’s multiple weather alerts, the Town of Midland declared a Significant Weather Event effective 7:45pm on Sunday, December 28, 2025.

A Significant Weather Event is declared when current or forecasted weather indicates that the Town may not be able to meet Provincial Minimum Maintenance Standards related to roads and sidewalks. Please note:

Significant weather events are reminders that emergencies can happen anytime and that a little preparation goes a long way. Visit Emergency Preparedness for information.

Status of Potentially Impacted Town Services

Mid-Pen Transit

Mid-Pen Transit services are not impacted by the weather event at this time; should transit service be impacted, a Transit Service Notice will be issued.

Recreation Centre

Drop-in recreation programs at the Bourgeois Recreation Centre are not impacted at this time. The facility remains open for all booked rentals.

Municipal Office

Midland Town Hall, 575 Dominion Avenue, remains closed for the holidays until Friday, January 2, 2026. For after-hour emergencies related to water, sewer, or roads, please call 705-526-4275 and follow the prompts.
