Dominion Booster Pumping Station Project

The Town is undertaking key upgrades to the municipal water distribution system to ensure the continued delivery of safe, reliable service to residents and businesses. As part of this work, the Dominion Booster Pump Station located at 755 Dominion Avenue, will be replaced. The project includes:
- The construction of a new pump station building at the existing site
- Associated utility connections
- Associated watermain piping for the pumping station
There may be periodic disturbances on Dominion Avenue as the Contractor installs new watermain. Residents will be informed of any interruptions.
Budget
Town Council approved a total budget of $3.5 Million for this project, which is funded through the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP) Grant.

Future dates are subject to change.
2024: Preliminary Studies
The Town consulted with J.L. Richards to conduct a flow demand study to find ways of improving our water system through the pumping stations.
2025–2026: Design
J.L. Richards began design in summer 2025 and work continued into 2026.
March/April 2026: Tender
The Request for Tender went out to market in March 2026. Project was awarded RiteStart Limited in April 2026.
August 2026 to Summer 2027: Construction
Construction will commence late summer 2026 and extend into summer of 2027.
