The Terry Fox Foundation amplifies Terry's spirit of unity, determination, and compassion, as his story continues to inspire individuals of all ages, encouraging them to make a difference in the fight against cancer.

Today the Town of Midland raised the flag for National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, a time to unite in support of children and families affected by childhood cancer. September is dedicated to raising awareness, offering hope, and honouring the courage of young warriors and their loved ones.
Approximately 10,000 children are living with cancer in Canada today. Each year about 1,500 cases are diagnosed. Because of significant advances in therapy, 82% of these children will survive 5 years or more. Childhood cancer remains responsible for more deaths from one year through adolescence than any other disease....
Today, the Town of Midland recognized International Overdose Awareness Day (takes place on August 31), a global event dedicated to raising awareness about overdose, reducing the stigma of drug-related deaths, and acknowledging the grief of families and friends who have lost loved ones.
