Canada Day affected services and reminders
The Town of Midland advises residents of the following service impacts on Canada Day.
The Town’s 2026 Canada Day festivities in Little Lake Park promise a full day of community spirit and entertainment, and a spectacular fireworks display to close out the evening. Visit midland.ca/CanadaDay for full details.
Mid-Pen Transit
There will be no Mid-Pen Transit service on Wednesday, July 1.
Road Closures
Canada Day Parade route – 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. King Street will be closed from Bayshore Drive to Little Lake Park Road for the Canada Day parade. See the parade route map.
Little Lake Park Road – 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Little Lake Park Road will be closed from the YMCA entrance to Yonge Street for the Canada Day event.
Municipal Office Closure
Midland Town Hall, 575 Dominion Avenue, will be closed on Wednesday, July 1. While the office is closed, please note that online services are available to:

Simcoe County Services

Notes & Reminders
Bourgeois Community Centre: The Bourgeois Community Centre facility is open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m on Wednesday, July 1, but the facility's customer service desk will be closed.
Boat launch access: Effective May 1, 2026, permits are required to use the Pete Pettersen Boat Launch. Visit midland.ca/BoatLaunch for information.
Consumer fireworks: A Consumer Fireworks Permit is required to discharge consumer fireworks in Midland. Please visit midland.ca/FireworksBylaw for full regulations.
Recycling collection: Simcoe County is no longer responsible for recycling collection as of January 1, 2026. Visit simcoe.ca/RecyclingChange for information.
