Town encourages eligible voters to confirm voter information by August 12
With the 2026 Municipal and School Board Elections approaching, the Town of Midland is encouraging residents and property owners to check, update, or add their voter information online through Elections Ontario by August 12, 2026.
Eligible electors are encouraged to visit RegisterToVoteON.ca before August 12 to:
- Confirm they are on the voters list
- Update their personal information
- Add themselves to the list if they are not already registered
"August 12 is the deadline to use Elections Ontario's online voter registration system, not the deadline to become eligible to vote," said Sherri Edgar, Director of Legislative Services/Town Clerk and Returning Officer. "Eligible electors can still update their information or be added to the voters list through the Town Clerk's Department after that date, but we encourage everyone to use the online system while it's available."
Voting in Midland's 2026 Municipal and School Board Elections will take place by internet and telephone, providing voters with a convenient and secure way to cast their ballot.
To be eligible to vote in Midland's 2026 Municipal and School Board Elections, individuals must be:
- a Canadian citizen and at least 18 years of age.
- a resident, property owner, or tenant in the Town of Midland (or the spouse of an owner or tenant).
- not prohibited from voting under any law.
