Victoria Day affected services and reminders
The Town of Midland advises residents of the following service impacts on Victoria Day, which occurs on Monday, May 18.
Mid-Pen Transit
There will be no Mid-Pen Transit service on Monday, May 18.
Municipal Office Closure
Midland Town Hall, 575 Dominion Avenue, will be closed on Monday, May 18. While the office is closed, please note that online services are available to:
For after-hours emergencies related to Town services, including water, sewer, roads, and more, please call 705-526-4275 and follow the prompts.
Simcoe County Services
There is no change to the County’s waste collection schedule, but most County waste drop-off facilities are closed on Monday, May 18. For full information on these services, LINX Transit, and more, please refer to Simcoe County’s Victoria Day holiday services advisory.
Notes & Reminders
Bourgeois Community Centre: Please note that the Bourgeois Community Centre is not impacted by the Victoria Day holiday, and will be open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m on Monday, May 18.
Boat launch access: Effective May 1, 2026, permits are required to use the Pete Pettersen Boat Launch. Visit midland.ca/BoatLaunch for information.
Consumer fireworks: A Consumer Fireworks Permit is required to discharge consumer fireworks in Midland. Please visit midland.ca/FireworksBylaw for full regulations.
Recycling collection: Simcoe County is no longer responsible for recycling collection as of January 1, 2026. Visit simcoe.ca/RecyclingChange for information.
