Guidelines & Requirements
All advertising must comply with:
- The Canadian Code of Advertising Standards
- The Town’s Sponsorship, Advertising & Charitable Giving Policy
- All applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws
Advertising must:
- Align with the Town’s values and community standards [midland.ca]
- Not include:
- Tobacco, alcohol, or prohibited substances
- Political or religious messaging
- Content that could harm the Town’s reputation or public image
- Be respectful, inclusive, and appropriate for all audiences
Advertising Request Submission Process

If approved:
- A formal agreement will be issued
- Payment and artwork submission are required before installation
- Advertisers are responsible for design and production
- All artwork must be submitted for Town review and approval before installation
- The Town reserves the right to refuse or request revisions
- Installation is coordinated by the Town (unless otherwise noted in the agreement)
- Minimum terms may apply depending on the asset (e.g., multi-year commitments for wraps)
- Early removal costs may apply
