Midland Bay Landing
The Town of Midland is excited to announce the successful completion of the first stage of procurement for the Midland Bay Landing redevelopment. This project continues to generate strong interest from both the public and the development community, with clear alignment to the Town’s vision for a vibrant, mixed-use, and accessible waterfront destination.
Following a thorough evaluation process, developers with a deep understanding of the Town’s objectives have been pre-qualified to advance to the next stage. The second stage of procurement will focus on detailed concept designs and the business case for Midland Bay Landing. We look forward to collaborating closely with these selected partners to finalize concepts that reflect our community’s aspirations, support downtown businesses, and enhance public access to the waterfront.

| Share your opinion and complete the survey (open for two weeks). |
| April 15, 2025 - MBL Open House Event |
| Join a public information session (afternoon or evening) about Midland Bay Landing. |
| May to September 2025 - Market the Opportunity |
| Phase 2: Consultants and staff will use the framework created from public collaboration to develop and issue the Request for Expressions of Interest. |
| May 21, 2025 - Consultant Presentation |
| Consultants presented a "What We Heard" presentation to Council |
| June 18, 2025 to August 8, 2025 - Request for Expressions of Interest (RFEI) |
| Submissions in response to the RFEI are now being accepted until 2pm on August 8, 2025. Learn more about the RFEI. |
| September to December 2025 - Selecting the Developer |
| Phase 3: Town Council will select the right developer with a shared vision following review and evaluation of proposals. |

Midland Bay Landing is located on the shores of Georgian Bay, north of Bayshore Drive and east of the Town’s Harbour.

What is the status of the Midland Bay Landing Development Corporation? |
|
The Midland Bay Landing Development Corporation was dissolved by Council in October of 2023. At that time Council authorized Staff to issue a new Request for Proposals for the entire Midland Bay Landing site. |
