Each regular meeting of Council has an Open Forum period of no longer than 10 minutes.
Open Forum provides a two-minute opportunity for the public to speak on an item on the Regular Council Agenda. Details on the Open Forum may be found under Section 9.6 of the Town’s Procedure By-law. Individuals must sign the “Open Forum Register” with the Clerk prior to being permitted to speak to Council and must agree to follow all terms set out in the by-law.
How to Participate:
- Review the Regular Council Agenda
- Attend the meeting in person at Town Hall, 575 Dominion Avenue
- Sign the Open Forum Register with the Clerk before the meeting begins
In an election year, Open Forum is suspended effective May 1, upon the opening of the Nomination Period, and remains suspended until the first Regular Meeting of Council in the new Council term.
