2026 Volunteer Firefighter Recruitment
Looking for a meaningful way to serve your community? Tay Township, together with the Town of Midland, Town of Penetanguishene, Tiny Township and Georgian Bay Township are now recruiting paid on-call Firefighters.
The Midland Fire Department is a composite fire department comprised of a Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief, Fire Prevention Officer, Training Officer, Career Firefighters, Volunteer Firefighters, and an Executive Assistant.
The department ensures public safety through fire prevention, inspections, code enforcement, public education, and emergency response. It also manages public events, coordinates emergency management, and collaborates with other county emergency services.
The fire station features a four-bay, double-depth apparatus area, administrative offices, and a training room. At the front of the building, there is a Firefighter Memorial and a commemorative bell.
