Tax Certificates & Statements

Tax certificates provide a financial summary of a property's tax status and are typically requested during property sales or legal transactions. Tax certificates are available by written request.

As per the Fees & Charges By-law (Finance schedule) the fees effective January 1, 2026, are:

  • Regular service: $85
  • Rushed service (within 48 hours): $105

This fee applies per roll number and will reflect both property tax and water/sewer balances.

Tax Certificate Purchase Options

You can request a tax certificate using any of the options below.

Property Tax Receipts & Statements

Your final tax bill should be retained for income tax purposes. If you would like a “Paid” stamp on your hard copy tax bill, please bring or mail the final bill to us (see address above), and staff will process it for you.

If you are unable to locate your tax bill, you can request a Tax Statement by emailing service@midland.ca. A $26 fee may apply.
