Reading my Water Meter
All homes and businesses connected to the municipal water system must have a Town-issued water meter to measure water consumption. You are charged based on the amount of water used.
When does the Town read my meter
Water meters are read prior to each billing to record the water that has passed through your water meter during that consumption period. All water use, including water consumed by leaks, is your responsibility and will be charged to your water account.
If we are unable to obtain a current reading from your water meter, a notice will be left at your door.
Note: Homeowners must ensure that water meters are accessible and that sufficient space is maintained for servicing if required.
If you suspect your water meter may not be providing accurate readings, you can request a meter test to verify its performance. Please note that a fee applies for this service. Contact the staff to request a meter test.
