East Pressure Zone Project
The East Pressure Zone project is a part of Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Servicing. The project includes:
- A new water tower in the Southwest area of town near Hwy 12 and Hwy 93 to support future growth and expansion.
- A new booster pumping station to create a new pressure zone in the Southwest, servicing new growth areas and addressing existing pressure constraints.
- Over 1.4 km of new watermain to connect existing pressure zones and service expansion areas.

Municipal Class Environmental Assessment
The study included input from Indigenous and technical stakeholders and the public. The preferred servicing solution for the Town identified through this Class EA is to build a new Elevated Tower and Booster Pumping Station at the selected site south of Highway 12 and west of Beamish Road. The new watermain supplying the new Elevated Tower will connect to existing infrastructure along Beamish Road through an easement on the property east of the site. The new Booster Pumping Station will supply water via a new watermain crossing Highway 12 to the north, as well as a new watermain extending west toward Brebeuf Road to service the southern development areas.
The completed Class EA for Midland's East Pressure Zone is open to the public for a 30 day review period. Any comments can be submitted to the project contact by June 15, 2025.
