Status: Town staff are onsite to repair the watermain break on Yonge Street.

Other information and road closure: 

• Yonge St. is closed between Third St. to Fifth St. 
• Residents in the area may experience no water or low water pressure.

Where: Road closure on Harbourview Dr and Fuller Ave, closed at Everton Rd and Centennial Dr.

When: Today, June 17, 2025 starting at 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Why: Midland Fire Department training exercise. 

Suggested Detour:

• From Harbourview Dr turn onto Centennial Dr then Everton Rd continue to Fuller Ave. 
• From Fuller Ave turn onto Everton Rd then Centennial Dr continue to Harbourview Dr. ........

King Street and side roads will be closing today at 5:00 p.m. in preparation for Ontario's Best Butter Tart Festival presented by Chapmans.

When: Friday, June 13, 2025 - Saturday, June 14, 2025. Closing Friday at 5:00 p.m. and re-opening Saturday at 7:00 p.m.

Where: 

• King Street from Yonge Street to Bayshore Drive
• Elizabeth Street from First Street to Midland Avenue
• Hugel Avenue from Borsa Laneway to Midland Avenue
• Dominion Avenue from Borsa Laneway to Midland Avenue
• Bay Street from Borsa Laneway to Midland Avenue.......

The municipal office will be closed on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. for a staff appreciation event. The office will be open Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 8:30 a.m. 

Midland's Recreation Centre, Harbour office and Mid-Pen Transit Service will not be affected by this closure.

Where: Lane closure on Angela Schmidt Foster Road, from Marshall Road to Highway 93

When: June 2, 2025 to June 13, 2025

Why: Maintenance work for the Angela Schmidt Foster Road Resurfacing Project. 

Other Information: 

• Access to properties will be maintained.
• Expect delays, use alternate routes.
• Asphalt work to be completed August 2025.

Where: Bay Street, from First Street to Preston Lane

When: Starting now to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2025

Why: Emergency Lateral Sewer repair

Other Information: 

• Sidewalk on the North side of the closure is closed. 
• Businesses access is not affected.
• Properties with interruption to water service have been contacted.

Where: Lane reduction to two lanes on Yonge Street, between County Road 93 and Norene Street. 

When: Lane reductions start Wednesday, May 28, 2025 until August 2025

Why: Road resurfacing, part of the Yonge Street Reconstruction project.
