Easter holiday affected services and reminders
The Town of Midland advises residents of the following service impacts over the Easter holiday (Good Friday and Easter Monday).
Recreation
The Bourgeois Community Centre is closed on Friday, April 3, and Monday, April 6.
Mid-Pen Transit
There will be no Mid-Pen Transit service on Friday, April 3, or Monday, April 6. All regularly scheduled transit services will resume Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
Municipal Office Closure
Midland Town Hall, 575 Dominion Avenue, will be closed on Friday, April 3, and Monday, April 6, and will reopen on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. While the municipal office will be closed, please note that online services are available to:
Online applications and non-emergency requests will be processed starting Tuesday, April 7, 2026. For after-hours emergencies related to Town services, including water, sewer, roads, and more, please call 705-526-4275 and follow the prompts.
Simcoe County Services
There is no change to the County’s waste collection schedule, but most County waste drop-off facilities are closed on Friday, April 3, and Monday, April 6. For full information on these services, LINX Transit, and more, please refer to Simcoe County’s Easter Weekend holiday services advisory.
Reminders
Parking: As per the Town’s Parking By-law, Midland's overnight winter parking restrictions are no longer in effect, unless a Significant Weather Event is declared.
Recycling collection: Simcoe County is no longer responsible for recycling collection as of January 1, 2026. Visit simcoe.ca/RecyclingChange for information.
