Family Day affected services and reminders

The Town of Midland advises residents of the following Family Day service impacts.

Recreation

The Bourgeois Community Centre is hosting a free Family Day skate on Monday, February 16, from noon to 1:30pm. The facility remains open for rentals and for regularly scheduled drop-in programs, as listed at midland.ca/RecPrograms.

Mid-Pen Transit

There will be no Mid-Pen Transit service on Monday, February 16, 2026. All regularly scheduled transit services will resume Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

Municipal Office Closure

Midland Town Hall, 575 Dominion Avenue, will be closed on Monday, February 16, 2026, and will reopen on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 8:30am. While the municipal office will be closed, please note online services are available to:

Online applications and non-emergency requests will be processed starting Tuesday, February 17, 2026. For after-hour emergencies related to Town services including water, sewer, roads, and more, please call 705-526-4275 and follow the prompts. 

Simcoe County Services

Winter maintenance operations: The Town's Operations department continuously monitors Environment Canada's weather forecasts and advisories to prepare for expected weather and align winter maintenance activities accordingly. Visit midland.ca/snow for information on maintenance standards and more.

Recycling collection: Simcoe County is no longer responsible for recycling collection as of the New Year. Visit simcoe.ca/RecyclingChange for information.
