In solidarity with communities across Canada and in honour of the victims of the Tumbler Ridge tragedy, the Town of Midland has lowered our flags to half-mast.
There will be a detour to the Penetanguishene Transit Route on Saturday, February 14, from approximately 10am to 1pm, as a result of road closures for the annual Winterama Parade.
Today the Pan African flag was raised at Town Hall to recognize Black History Month. Mayor Bill Gordon has proclaimed February 2026 as “Black History Month” in Midland.
The closure will be in place until repairs are complete, estimated to be at approximately 6pm. Residents in the area may experience low water pressure.
