Bid Opportunities

The Town of Midland's Procurement Department is essential for ensuring timely, cost-efficient and effective services to our residents.  We are committed to ensuring our Procurement decisions are open, fair and transparent.  The Town's Purchasing By-Law 2018-52 establishes rules that return value for the taxpayer, protects the Town's financial interests and encourages competitive bidding that is in accordance with applicable treaties such as Canadian Free Trade Agreement and Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement..

The Town of Midland will issue Requests for Quotation (RFQ), Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Tender (RFT), and invitations to bid during the year for the purchase of goods, services and construction projects within the Municipality.  The estimated value of the project will determine which process will be used.

Bid Process

The Town of Midland has joined local municipalities using Bids and Tenders for digital procurement management. If you are not a current subscriber you will need to subscribe as a vendor to receive notice of opportunities and submit bids to the Town of Midland. An unlimited subscription is $33.25/month and for those who choose not to subscribe, a one-time fee option of $119.76 per bid opportunity is available.  Registrants will be asked to select commodity code(s) for goods, services and construction relevant to their business. When bid opportunities are posted from any Bids and Tenders client that matches the selected commodity codes, registrants will receive an e-mail notification of the new opportunity. Bidders are solely responsible for ensuring their vendor account information is kept current.
