Bid Opportunities

The Town of Midland’s Procurement Department is committed to open, fair, and transparent purchasing to deliver timely and cost-effective services to our community.

Vendor Bidding

Public tenders, bids, and request for proposals are posted on Bids & Tenders for digital procurement management. Vendors interested in doing business with the Town must subscribe through Bids and Tenders to receive notifications and submit bids. Support is available by phoning 416-756-0955 or emailing support@bidsandtenders.ca.

Surplus Assets

When a tangible asset is no longer needed whether due to being obsolete, beyond repair, or having reached the end of its useful life, the Town follows its established purchasing procedures to dispose of it appropriately. One common method of disposal is selling surplus assets through GovDeals, the government auction platform. Set up a GovDeals account or visit GovDeals Customer Support.

Procurement By-law

The Town's Procurement By-Law sets out rules that ensure value for taxpayers, protect the Town’s financial interests, and promote competitive bidding in accordance with applicable trade agreements, including the Canadian Free Trade Agreement and the Comprehensive Econ omic and Trade Agreement. For purchasing related inquiries, contact the Procurement division at 705-526-4275 or procurement@midland.ca
