Community Grant Program

This community-based funding program is designed to enhance the well-being and quality of life for the citizens of Midland. It provides financial assistance to not-for-profit organizations and individuals delivering a wide range of programs and services throughout the community.

This program is funded through The Mayor's Charity Golf Tournament.

Funding is provided to the arts, culture, heritage, sports, environment, health, education, social and human services.​

  • Up to $10,000 - formal application.
  • More than $10,000 - formal application, plus applicant's previous year's financial statements. Applicants may also be required to make a presentation to the Committee.

  • Eligible programs include those in the arts, culture, heritage, sports, environment, health, education, social and human services.​
  • Programs must be inclusive, open and accessible.
  • Programs must be open to the public and of benefit to the Town in general.
  • Programs of a broader regional nature should demonstrate efforts in seeking funding from other benefiting communities.
  • One request per applicant unless there is a partnership or co-program delivery.

Yes. Successful applicants will have three months to complete an Accountability Form and Final Report. Future funding is contingent on reporting in previous years.

Some programs will require recognition of the contributions of the Town of Midland, including use of the Town's logo on promotional materials, plaques for legacy projects, etc. Levels of recognition will be determined by the Committee and applicants will be informed upon notification of their successful application.
