The Town of Midland is thrilled to officially announce the release of a Request for Expressions of Interest (RFEI) for the transformative development of the Midland Bay Landing site. This exceptional opportunity covers a 40-acre deepwater waterfront parcel located along Georgian Bay, right next to the revitalized downtown area of Midland.
Further prioritizing public safety on town roads to reduce speeding in designated areas, Midland is officially launching its Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE) Program. Signage has been installed at designated locations, and enforcement begins in early September following the mandatory 90-day public awareness period, ensuring that residents and motorists are informed well in advance of implementation.
The sweetest day of the year is almost here! More than 300,000 butter tarts will be up for grabs in Midland at Ontario’s Best Butter Tart Festival presented by Chapman’s on June 14. The festival begins at 9 a.m. with the ceremonial Piping of the Tart by the Midland Pipes and Drums and opening remarks from Mayor Bill Gordon.
