For Immediate Release: (May 14, 2025, Midland ON) With the arrival of warmer weather, construction season is officially underway. Each spring, the Town of Midland undertakes essential infrastructure projects, such as road reconstruction and resurfacing. These projects enhance safety, improve mobility, and ensure the long-term sustainability of our community.
Improvements are scheduled for the following roads:
The Town of Midland is proud to celebrate over 20 years of operation of the beloved North Simcoe Sports and Recreation Centre and is thrilled to announce a fresh new chapter. As part of this milestone, the Town is inviting opportunities for a business, organization or individual partner with a passion for Midland to submit proposals to obtain the naming rights for this vital shared space.
The Significant Weather Event has been lifted as of 9:00am, April 1, 2025. Operations on debris cleanup continue however roads now comply with the Province's Minimum Maintenance Standards. Update 9:00am April 1, 2025 Areas in Midland are still experiencing power outages. Some traffic signals may not be functioning and roads may be closed to complete clean up, please proceed with caution when travelling.
The Town of Midland is pleased to announce further restoration of its historic downtown murals, thanks to a $19,260 investment from the Ontario government through the Rural Economic Development program.
